The construction process done in all my pieces is with mortise and tenon joinery ,hand cut dovetail drawers, traditional wood to wood joints with the only use of nails being square cut hand driven nails.

   The construction of all the pieces I do are made using traditional joinery. Square pegged mortise and tenons, hand-cut dovetails, and only the use of square-cut hand driven nails (no air nailers or pocket screws). Table tops are hand planed and marks left unless otherwise specified.
   My Windsor Chairs are made the same as they were 250 years ago, seats are sculpted with an inshave, travisher, and spokeshaves, crest rails, back and arm bows, and back spindles are riven(split)from a red oak log and whittled into shape with a drawknife and spokeshave before being put into a steam box to be bent into there final shape. Seats are made of  white pine or  poplar and turnings are maple, this insures a lightweight yet strong and flexible chair that will be here in another 250 years.
   If you are wanting a "real" Windsor Chair, to be a durable and long lasting piece of furniture, make sure you know if the chair maker you choose uses these methods and tools. 
  Every piece will have my makers mark, date it was completed, and signature on it.
         I warranty all my work, if a piece from Pine Hill Primitives should ever come apart due to craftsmanship I will fix or replace it, at my discretion, at no cost to you, excluding shipping. You pay to ship it to me I will pay to ship it back . Shipping is done by common carrier and well packed and padded to ensure a safe journey to its new home.
