The construction process done in all my pieces is with mortise and tenon joinery ,hand cut dovetail drawers, traditional wood to wood joints with the only use of nails being square cut hand driven nails.

Pine Hill Primitives is a one man shop, building only the best in Primitive and Colonial Reproductions by hand. All the quality reproductions are made by Cabinet maker and Chair maker Matt Rushing, who believes the term "reproduction" is an easy way to describe what are actually pieces made 250 years after the originals.
Matt is a self taught craftsman who has learned through trial and error how to build all the pieces you see over the past 10 years. His attention to detail and craftsmanship are superb examples of how furniture should be built. His collection of hand tools is almost as impressive as his knowledge and understanding of how to use every one of them. All it takes is one look at his work to know, it'll be here long after we are.
